KT Star Wins the Hull Daily Mail Talent Trail 2011

KT Star won the competition after an action packed performance from all of the eight contestants involved on the night. It was a fantastic venue and was packed with over 700+ members of the audience who were treated to some top entertainment.

After getting to the final last year and missing out on the top prize, KT Star was pleased to walk away with the prize this year of £1500, a professional photo-shoot and recording time in a studio.

She sang a three songs during the evening – The emotional “As if we never said goodbye” from the musical Sunset Boulevard, the passionate “Someone like you” by Adele and finally ended with “Somebody to love” by queen where she held an amazingly long note at the end which had sections of the crowd on its feet with applause.

Second on the night was a young lady called Summer Rosenbroek and third was a singer/songwriter named Martin Clappison who both walked away with cash prizes.

Katie said she was “delighted and surprised to have won with so many talented entertainers on show”. She expressed her desire to work with more live bands and possibly do some cruise work in the future.
