Katie has been performing since the tender age of 2 when she joined a local ballet school in her hometown of Scunthorpe. After performing in many productions, she began to feel at home on the stage which is now where she spends her most enjoyable time.
At the age of 11 she started entering talent shows all over the country, winning several, being placed in many and always reaching the final. She won a talent contest in Grantham and received £1000 prize money which helped towards purchasing a P.A. setup so she could take her performing to the next level. She first began performing a set or two at shared gigs at 17. Her first solo gig was March 2005 at a friend’s birthday party.
Unfortunately, the buzz wasn’t there and she concentrated on working full time. Then after moving to Bedford, she entered a singing competition which she won. The prize was a trip to Las Vegas. After such positive feedback and urging from those around her, she made the decision to concentrate on singing full time.
In March 2007 Katie joined the circuit and is currently gigging up and down the country as we speak. It has taken her a long time to believe in herself and now she is doing everything she can to be “Simply The Best” (another favourite of hers) in the this industry.
